Hi, my name is Stefan Lupperger and I'm from Bavaria, Germany.
I was raised in a family of automotive enthusiasts. Formula 1 was a television program that was always on, regardless of other events taking place. We've had all sorts of vehicles, from bicycles, motorbikes, several high horsepower and versatile cars and camping vehicles, trailers and motorhomes. As a young boy, my dad and I drove to several vehicle dealerships and checked out their new stuff almost every week. My passion for fast vehicles led me to pursue simracing at a young age, as it was the only way to engage with the sport given my lack of opportunities to participate in real-life racing.  The unwavering commitment to precision and be the overall best never stopped. After school I made an apprenticeship as a automotive mechatronics technician at a Mercedes-Benz Dealership close to where I grew up. I love cars and wanted to learn how they work. But soon I figured out that I not only want to learn how to maintenance them, I want to be part of the process to create those vehicles. So after finishing my apprenticeship I got my technical diploma and started to study automotive engineering in Munich. After three semesters, I came to understand that while I had a solid technical understanding of how vehicles work, I did not possess the necessary skills to create them in the desired way. I therefore decided to redirect my focus to other opportunities. However, my enthusiasm for developing products that enhance my interests persisted. Consequently, I pursued a role as a project management assistant at Fanatec. Fanatec is a company that specializes in the development of advanced simracing hardware for consumer use. I have successfully transformed a personal interest into a viable business opportunity.
After some years in the R&D department at Fanatec, first as a PMA and later with my own projects as a Project Manager, I learned so many things about the development process of products from a management view. And I've learned a lot about the different types of personalities and qualifications you need to create a product. During that time I understood for myself, that one specific department of that process got me the most interested: Design.
Then I've tried to figured out how to get this profession and found the freshly created study
Design & Mobility at Hochschule Hof and I've tried my luck and applied for a slot in their study.
Now we're here, I got my website ready with several projects that happened during that time finishing with a very special Bachelor theisis for me. I hope my (not so) short stoy about my life got your interest and I am looking forward to get in touch with you via Mail, LinkedIn or on Instagram.
Thank you for taking the time to read this far.
